Tripoli, Libya (PANA) - The President of Congo and Chairman of the African Union (AU) High-Level Committee on Libya, Denis Sassou Nguesso, has sent a message to the Libyan Prime Minister, Abdulhamid Al Dbaiba.
The message was delivered by the Congolese Minister of Foreign Affairs, Jean-Claude Gakosso, to the head of the Libyan Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, al-Taher al-Baour, in Tripoli. The content of the message was not disclosed.
A statement from the Libyan foreign ministry said the two diplomats discussed a number of issues relating to the important role of the African Union (AU) in resolving the Libyan crisis, particularly national reconciliation, and the role being played by President Sassou Nguesso.
The meeting also focused on restoring Libya's important role on the African continent and restoring its former glory in resolving the problems and crises of AU member states.
Mr. Gakosso took part in the fourth ordinary meeting of the Preparatory Committee for the Inclusive Conference on National Reconciliation in Libya, which ended on Monday in Zouara, 120 km west of Tripoli.
