Sudan condemns Israeli attack on Qatari residential area

Port Sudan, Sudan (PANA) - Sudan on Tuesday condemned the Israeli attacks against a residential area in Qatar, reportedly aimed at taking the lives of HAMAS leadership in the Arab Gulf state.

“The Government of Sudan condemns in the strongest possible terms the attack on the sisterly State of Qatar, which violates international laws and norms and constitutes a blatant violation of Qatar's territorial integrity and national sovereignty. This attack also undermines ongoing efforts to achieve security and stability in the region,”  the statement published on the website of the collective presidency, the Sovereign Council, underlined.

The statement stressed that the Government of Sudan expressed its full solidarity with the government and people of sisterly Qatar.

“Sudan hopes the international community will assume its responsibilities by condemning such brutal attacks and taking the necessary measures to stop them,” the statement said.
