Ivorian Rugby Federation appoints two senior officials

Abidjan, Côte d'Ivoire (PANA) - The Ivorian Rugby Federation (FIR) on Wednesday announced the appointment of a national technical director, Amon Roger Motchian, and the president of the Young Commission, former international Tidiane Kamara.


Mr. Motchian replaces Mathieu Beugré who held the office since 2018. He will have the mission to prepare the Ivorian selection to play the Rugby Africa Cup, the new competition of Rugby Africa, which will start in November with the top 16 teams on the continent vying to qualify for the 2023 World Cup in France.


As for the President of the Young Commission, he will be responsible for overseeing development activities at the youth level. The commission will organise youth competitions throughout the country.

 

The new Young Commission comes to end  activities of the Youth Competitions Steering Committee.
