Tripoli, Libya (PANA) - The President of the Libyan Presidential Council, Mohamed Al-Menfi, has received an official invitation from the Prime Minister of the Republic of India, Narendra Modi, to participate in the fourth India-Africa Forum Summit to be held in New Delhi at the end of May.
The invitation was delivered to him on Monday in Tripoli by the Indian Ambassador to Libya, Mohamed Hafiz Rahman.
This invitation comes as part of efforts to strengthen Libya’s presence on the international stage and to consolidate its cooperation with its international partners, particularly in Africa and Asia, thereby contributing to the development and expansion of strategic partnerships, according to a statement from the press office of the President of the Libyan Presidential Council.
The meeting also addressed, according to the same source, ways to strengthen bilateral relations between the two friendly countries and to explore opportunities for joint cooperation in several key sectors, with the aim of consolidating their mutual interests and elevating their relations to a more advanced and integrated level.
