South African Airways launches new route to Gaborone

Cape Town, South Africa (PANA) – South African Airways (SAA) on Wednesday confirmed that it will launch a new international route between Johannesburg and Gaborone, Botswana.

The new twice-daily service will commence on 4 November with bookings for the route now open.

The state-owned airline said that the new route further extends its regional reach and connectivity.

“The launch of this route not only strengthens the cultural and economic ties between Botswana and South Africa but also reinforces SAA’s position as a premium network carrier,” said CEO John Lamola.

The new route joins the growing list of regional and international flights coming to and from South Africa.

SAA in August announced that it would launch its first-ever direct service between Cape Town and Mauritius in December.
