Tunisia calls for an end to aggression against Iran
Tunis, Tunisia (PANA) - Tunisia has expressed its ‘clear and unequivocal condemnation of Zionist aggression’ against the Islamic Republic of Iran and the US strikes against Tehran's nuclear sites.
In a statement published on Sunday, Tunisia said that ‘nothing can justify this aggression under international law’, which must cease immediately.
International law ‘cannot be invoked in a selective or instrumental manner: either it applies to everyone, despite its limitations, or it is totally absent, deliberately set aside in defiance of its fundamental principles and universal rules’, the ministry's statement said.
For Tunisia, this aggression must not make us forget the serious crimes committed and continuing in several regions of the world, in particular the genocide against the Palestinian people. In this respect, Tunisia denounced the media channels' deliberate attempt to conceal the crimes perpetrated by the Zionist occupiers against the Palestinians.
Tunisia has reaffirmed that the world order that emerged in 1945 is in the process of collapsing, in favour of a future driven by free peoples, universal values, self-determination and equality between civilizations,
The statement said that peoples are working to put an end once and for all to all forms of discrimination based on the belief that certain nations are civilized, while others are considered barbaric, inferior or even non-human, a form of discrimination that comes on top of colonialism, civil wars and the plundering of their wealth and resources.
