Tripoli, Libya (PANA) - The African Union (AU) Standing Committee for Follow-up and Implementation of 2063 Agenda has launched the Libyan National Report on 2063 Agenda and second 2024-2033 ten-year implementation plan, covering the 2023-2025 period.
The launch took place on Tuesday during a ceremony at the headquarters of the Libyan General Information Authority in Tripoli.
In his opening speech, Mr. Al-Baou affirmed that the publication of the report was a historic step for the development of Libya.
He stressed that it embodies the commitment of the Libyan state to fulfill its continental obligations within the framework of the vision: "The Africa we want".
The Libyan official added that the report provides an objective and precise assessment of the achievements of the first decade (2013-2023).
He stressed that the Authority has mobilised all its technical and human resources to ensure the compliance of the report with internationally recognised standards, commending the support and efforts of the African Union which contributed to the success of the report.
The ceremony was punctuated by detailed artistic and technical presentations made by the Authority’s experts, who reviewed the key indicators of the report, covering areas such as sustainable development, digital transformation and economic growth.
They also highlighted the opportunities and challenges encountered during the implementation of the plan.
