ILO, Togo sign deal for decent jobs

Lomé, Togo (PANA) - Togo and the UN International Labour Organisation (ILO) have signed an agreement for decent jobs that paves the way for the implementation of a new country programme.

The objective of the protocol agreement, according to the Togolese ministry of Public service, Labour and Administrative Reform, is to promote decent job for all, particularly among the youth, women, the handicapped and migrants.

The protocol said it also advocated the strengthening of social protection, health cover, labour norms and social dialogue.

The signing of the deal was a strong signal of the will expressed by the executive to promote decent jobs for all, said the minister of Public service, Labour and Administrative Reform, Gilbert Bawara.

The agreement was signed by Barawa and Dramane Haidara, Director of the ILO office in Togo.
