US-Africa trade show holds next September in New York

Abidjan, Côte d'Ivoire (PANA) - An exhibition to strengthen US-Africa trade relations will be held on September 20 in New York, on the theme "United States-Africa: Business Opportunities and Development of the trade", according to an officialcommuniqué sent to PANA.

The exhibition, which will feature a B2B trade show, conference and networking event, aims to help African companies grow in international markets and provide business leaders with the resources they need to thrive.

The President and CEO of Pacetas Agency, organizer of this exhibition, Gbenga Omotayo, noted that this commercial activity is designed to be a concrete platform which objective is not only to increase the exports of developing countries, but also to help African companies, government agencies and exporters make the most of US initiatives such as the African Growth and Opportunity Act (AGOA) and Prosper Africa or the African Free Trade Area (ZLECA) by finding international markets for their products.

More than 1,400 participants are expected at the exhibition, scheduled for the eve of the 74th UN General Assembly.

The ambassador of the African Union (AU) to the United States, Dr. Arikana Chihombori-Quao, will deliver the inaugural speech on the African Continental Free Trade Ares (AfCFTA) at the exhibition.
