The wokshop was aimed at raising awareness among this group on issues related to domestic violence and juvenile justice system.

On Tuesday, UNAMID also conducted a HIV awareness training for 20 members of the Sudanese police in Zalingei, West Darfur. The sessions covered health topics, including sexually transmitted infections, facts on HIV and AIDS, HIV counseling and testing and post-exposure prophylaxis.

Meanwhile, UNAMID on Thursday donated radio sets to more than 20 members of the Zalingei Disabled Union as part of its continuous efforts to assist the most vulnerable of the society.

Mr. Ahmad Audallah Jambali, chairman of the Zalingei Disabled Union, said the radio would help them to monitor activities taking place around the world, noting “you have raised the morale of the handicapped today”.
