Tripoli, Libya (PANA) - The United Nations Support Mission in Libya (UNSMIL) has announced the opening of registration for a workshop for Libyan journalists specialising in women’s issues.
Organised within the framework of UNSMIL’s "Basira" programme, which aims to develop the skills of media professionals, the two-day workshop in Tripoli will be held on 23 and 24 November, in parallel with the annual UN global campaign against violence against women, according to a statement issued on Sunday by the UN mission.
UNSMIL reported that 20 journalists from all regions of the country will be selected to participate in the workshop.
The mission said that candidates must demonstrate their commitment to covering women’s issues with professionalism and respect, while respecting the privacy of women.
They must submit examples of their published work.
The deadline for submitting applications is Tuesday, 4 Nov 2025 at 23:59 local time (22:59 GMT).
