Two civilians killed, two others wounded in rocket fall in southern Tripoli

Tripoli, Libya (PANA)  -  Two civilians were killed and two others wounded on Sunday morning as shells dropped on their houses in the district of Salaheddine located behind the fighting lines near the capital, Tripoli, the press office of the government of national accord said.

In a press release, the press office of the "Volcano of anger" announced “the arrival of dead bodies at the campaign hospital”, underlining "the arrival of ambulances in the zone to carry the persons wounded by shells shot at random on the civilian sites".

On Monday, shells shot at random fell in the district of Salaheddine, hitting a house, and another near a primary school, wounding a child and people in their homes.

Fighting resumed on Sunday on the fronts of Souk al-Khamis, near Tripoli, after calm during the festivities of the Mawlid, date of the birth of Prophet Mahomet.

Fighter jets went into action bombarding the positions of forces of the government of national accord near the capital.

Efforts continue to hold the international Berlin conference aiming to find a political solution under the aegis of the permanent member countries of the UN Security Council.
