Turkish, Tunisian presidents discuss Libya crisis

Tunis, Tunisia (PANA) - The situation in Libya was the focus of a telephone conversation between Tunisian and Turkish Presidents Kais Saied and Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, who said the solution in Libya can only be within the framework of international, peaceful and Libyan-Libyan legality.

According to a statement by the Tunisian presidency, the Tunisian head of state noted that Tunisia is the country most affected by the current situation at all levels.

He added that the situation in Libya is one of the most important priorities for Tunisians because Tunisia and Libya are one country.

The Tunisian president also referred to the situation in Palestine, saying that reactions must live up to the expectations of the Ummah (community) and not just formal reactions to the annexation of Palestinian land by Israel.

The Tunisian president expressed the hope that Tunisia, Turkey, and all mankind will overcome the COVID-19 health crisis and thanked Ankara for the help given to Tunis.
