Tunisian women entrepreneurs to attend business forum

Tunis, Tunisia (PANA) - About 40 Tunisian women business leaders operating in various fields will participate in the fifth annual Forum of the International Council of Women Entrepreneurs (CIFE) to be held on 26-28 February 2019 in Abidjan, Côte d'Ivoire.

It will be on the theme, "Digital transformation: An opportunity for growth for women entrepreneurs in Africa," the Tunisian employers' organization said on Tuesday.

It aims, through this forum, to develop a platform for exchange and cooperation between African women, sensitise them to the digital revolution and highlight business perspectives between women entrepreneurs on the continent.

The programme of the CIFE African Forum includes conferences, exhibitions and B2B meetings involving specialists and entrepreneurs from different countries of the continent.

The Tunisian Bank Corporation (STB) and Tunisian Post are the financial sponsors of the forum, but they will also be the financiers of the potential partnership projects which would be agreed by the forum.

Donia Hammouda, member of CIFE and Commissioner of the African forum, said: "To have STB and the Tunisian Post as financial partners is a chance for women entrepreneurs wishing to invest in African countries, funding being an essential pillar of investment and sustainability of investments."

She also said that the city of Abidjan has been selected to host the first exploration mission of CIFE, because it is a real door for sub-Saharan Africa.
