Tunisia condemns armed attack on a WFP convoy in DR Congo

Tunis, Tunisia (PANA) - The Tunisian Foreign Ministry on Monday strongly condemned the armed attack on a United Nations World Food Programme (WFP) convoy in DR Congo, killing the Italian ambassador to the country and three other people.

The ministry called it "a cowardly criminal act that targeted the United Nations and a diplomatic representative of a friendly state, violating international law".

"Tunisia reiterated its condemnation of all forms of violence aimed at destabilizing the security of DR Congo, a friendly country," the ministry added.

The Italian ambassador to DR Congo and two other people were killed in an armed attack on Monday against a WFP convoy in the east of the country.
