Banjul, Gambia (PANA) - Tour operator, TUI Holland, has commenced winter tourism flights to Gambia, with 60 guests flying directly from Amsterdam, Mr. Adama Njie, Director of Marketing of Gambia Tourism Board, told PANA on Monday.

“TUI Holland has been absent from the Gambia for two years, since the COVID-19 started and its return to destination Gambia is good news for us,” he said.

He said that TUI Holland will be doing two flights a week for a start which is “a big plus for destination Gambia and we are working behind the scenes with the TUI management to make sure that flights increase from Holland to the Gambia.”

TUI UK is doing four flights to Gambia, TUI Belgium two and TUI Holland two, making a total of 8 flights.

Charbel Hobeika, Managing Director of Gambia Tours and Travel Limited, expressed satisfaction with the resumption of TUI Holland's flights noting that it had always been a all-year-round tour operator.
