Togo to host 1st edition of West African caricature in April

Lome, Togo (PANA) - Togolese town of Kpalime, about 120 kilometres from the capital, Lome, will host, from 9 to 13 April, the first International Festival of Caricature and Cartoons (FICAP) , PANA learned Thursday from sources close to the organizers.

The event, to be held every two years, will bring together caricaturists and cartoonists from Africa and Europe to share experiences in order to revitalize the sector, according to the president of FICAP, Yéwanou Azondjangni.

During the festival in April, exhibitions of caricatures and cartoons, lectures and panel discussions, recreational parties and films documentaries will feature.
