The president of the transition in Mali sworn in

Bamako, Mali (PANA) - The president of the Transition in Mali, Colonel Major Bah NDaw (Rtd), and the vice- president, Colonel Assimi Goïta, were sworn into office here Friday at the Bamako International Conference Center, PANA reported.

The two personalities were appointed Monday by a college to lead the Transition over a period of 18 months.

The swearing-in ceremony took place in the presence of the President of Guinea-Bissau, Mr Umaru Ambalo Sissoko, and the Ghanaian Minister of Foreign Affairs, Chairman of the ECOWAS Council of Ministers. Shirley Ayorkor Botchwey.
