Tripoli, Libya (PANA) - The Libyan Minister of Transport of the national unity government, Mohamed Al-Chahoubi, Monday discussed with the Director General of Tunisian civil aviation to strengthen technical and operational cooperation between the two countries, as well as challenges related to the organisation and operation of air flights.
The discussion also involved the Under-Secretary of State of the Ministry of Air Transport, the head of the civil aviation authority and his deputy, the chargé d'affaires of the Tunisian embassy in Libya, as well as several representatives of Tunisian airlines.
It also focused on mechanisms aimed at ensuring the fluidity of air traffic and the quality of services provided to passengers, said a statement issued by the Libyan ministry.
This meeting is part of a joint commitment to support integration and communication between Libya and Tunisia, said the same source.
The meeting also examined all outstanding challenges between the two civilian airlifts, which could hinder the operation of flights between Libya and Tunisia.
The operation of Sebha-Tunis flights was also addressed, the statement said.
