Sudanese Armed Forces allege Ethiopian army executes 7 Sudanese POWs

Khartoum, Sudan (PANA) - Sudan says the Ethiopian army has executed seven Sudanese soldiers and a citizen who were prisoners of war stressing that "this treacherous situation will not pass without a response".

A statement by the Sudanese Armed Forces said: ” In a manner that contradicts all the laws of war and international humanitarian law, the Ethiopian army executed seven Sudanese soldiers and a citizen who were prisoners of war and then presented them to their fellow citizens with all meanness."

The state-owned Sudan News Agency (SUNA) quoted the statement as saying that the Sudanese Armed Forces affirmed unequivocally that "this treacherous situation will not pass without a response, and it will respond to this cowardly behavior”.

The Sudanese Armed Forces, extended sincere condolences to the families of the martyrs.

The statement did not give any details of the alleged incident.
