State of emergency in Tunisia extended for three months

Tunis, Tunisia (PANA) - Tunisia's interim President Mohamed Bennaceur on Friday extended the state of emergency across the country for three months, from 3 September to 31 December 2019.

On 2 August, Mr. Bennaceur took the same decision and extended the state of emergency from 4 August to 2 September.

The state of emergency has been regularly extended since 24 November 2015 following the terrorist attack on a Tunisian presidential security bus in Tunis that killed 13 security officers and injured 16.
