South Africa: South Africa commemorates fallen rapper

Cape Town, South Africa (PANA)   - The life of leading South African rapper Jabulani Tsambo who died last year will be celebrated at  a memorial lecture in Mahikeng on Saturday.

Tsambo, who was known as HHP, suffered from depression for years and committed suicide last October. He was just 38 and is survived by his wife, Lerato Sengadi, and son, Leano Khanye.

On what would have been Tsambo's 39th birthday, friends and family are turning the day into a celebration of his life through a lecture.

The event has been arranged by Tsambo’s friend Mo Molemi who said it also coincided with the anniversary of the death of liberation hero  Steve Biko and the funeral of Robert Mugabe.

The keynote speaker will be Dr Kea Modimoeng, chairperson of the Independent Communications Authority of South Africa.
