Several terrorists neutralised in northern Burkina Faso

Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso (PANA) - Burkina Faso's National Gendarmerie on Sunday neutralized several terrorists in response to a morning attack on its installations, according to official sources.

A press release from the Gendarmerie Nationale said that a terrorist attack on the morning of Sunday, 24 December, 2023 targeted the gendarmerie detachment in the rural commune of Gorgadji, Séno province, Sahel region.

According to the same source, the attack was "vigorously" repulsed by the gendarmes and the VDP of the said commune, routing the enemy.

"During the fighting, several terrorists were neutralized. As a result, more than a dozen bodies were left behind by the enemy, who took many others with them as they fled," the statement said.

Elements of the SDF and civilians were wounded in the attack.
