Senegalese and Irish presidents discuss food security

Dakar, Senegal (PANA) – Senegalese President Macky Sall and his Irish counterpart, Michael D. Higgins, on Tuesday discussed food security and the impact of climate change in Dakar, the Senegalese press agency (APS) reported, citing the Senegalese presidency.

"The two leaders discussed topics such as food security, the impact of climate change and the importance of empowering women and youth in society,'' according to a tweet from the Senegalese presidency.

Higgins is taking part in the Dakar Forum on Agriculture which opened on Wednesday in Diamniadio, on the outskirts of the capital, at the initiative of Senegal and the African Development Bank (AfDB).
