Senegal: President Macky Sall to attend US-Africa summit in Washington
Dakar, Senegal (PANA) – Senegalese President Macky Sall will attend the US-Africa Summit which is being hosted in Washington DC this week by US President Barack Obama, said an official communiqué issued here Monday.
According to the communiqué, President Sall will use the opportunity to promote Africa's infrastructural projects which have been earmarked for financing under the New Partnership for Africa's Development (NEPAD) as agreed at the 14-15 June NEPAD summit in Dakar.
In addition, the president will highlight his vision about the continent's sustainable economic growth and hold discussions with Senegal's technical and financial partners, businesspersons and representatives of the US Congress.
He will also attend an event on resilience and food security organised by the US Agency for International Development (USAID).
