Royal Air Maroc launches new Casablanca-Beijing line

Casablanca, Morocco (PANA) - Moroccan national carrier, Royal Air Maroc (RAM), on Thursday announced the launch of a new route from Casablanca to the Chinese capital, Beijing.

It will connect Morocco to China for the first time in less than 13 hours by direct flights operated by 302-seat B787-9 Dreamliner aircraft, 26 of which are in business class, the statement said.

Flights from Casablanca will be scheduled on Monday, Thursday and Saturday at 5 p.m. local time, with arrivals in Beijing at 11 a.m. local time.

Flights departing from Beijing will be scheduled every Tuesdays, Fridays and Sundays at 1:55 p.m. for an arrival in Casablanca 7:55 p.m.

A large delegation of senior Moroccan and Chinese officials were on the inaugural flight on Thursday, including RAM President Hamid Addou.

"Royal Air Maroc is proud to offer its passengers direct flights between Morocco and China and thus bring the Kingdom closer to the Asian giant,"  he said.
