Prestigious 'Who is Who' award won by Moroccan woman

Athens, Greece (PANA) - The prestigious 'Who is Who' award for women leaders in the world has been awarded in Athens to a Moroccan woman, Ms. Leila Ghandi.

The award was presented to Ms. Ghandi by the Greek Minister of Merchant Marine and Island Policy, John Plakiotakis, at a ceremony at which 13 other women leaders were also given awards.

The award was presented to Ms. Ghandi in recognition of her work in the media and for her efforts in supporting women.

The event, which aims in particular to honour women leaders around the world and to highlight their important role in development, was initiated by the international organization and publication "Who is Who".

Known by the Moroccan public for being the first Moroccan woman to travel the world alone and inspire other women to follow her path, Ms. Ghandi is also a TV host, content producer with an audience of nearly one million people on its digital platforms.

She is also known for her commitment to the cause of women, environmental protection and intercultural dialogue.

Ms. Ghandi has received several prestigious awards, including Knight of Arts and Letters by the French government.
