Nigerian Army donates relief materials to Cameroonian refugees in Taraba State

Abuja, Nigeria (PANA) – The Nigerian Army has donated food and other relief materials to Cameroonian refugees in Gembu Sarduana Local Government of Taraba State, northeast Nigeria.

Chief of Army Staff, Lieutenant General Tukur Yusuf Buratai, said on Tuesday that the materials were to relieve their sufferings.

General Buratai, represented by General Officer Commanding, 3 Division of Nigerian Army, Major General Nuhu Angbazo, expressed concern over the pitiable state of less privileged Cameroonian living in that part of Taraba State.

He said that there should be more commitment shown to these vulnerable groups of people including widows, physically challenged persons, indigent children, school dropouts, mentally deranged, orphans, and others.
