Morocco to host 13th US-Africa business summit in June 2020

Abidjan, Côte d'Ivoire (PANA) - The 13th edition of the US-Africa business summit initiated by Corporate Council on Africa (CCA) will be held in June, next year, in the Moroccan city of Marrakesh, a statement issued and received by PANA here Wednesday said.

The CCA chairwoman, Florizelle Liser, said the Marrakesh summit had the objective to carry on the success obtained during that of Maputo in Mozambique in June, which focused on the strengthening of the resilient and durable partnership between Africa and the United States.

The Maputo summit resulted in the establishment of partnerships, identification of investment opportunities, and the conclusion of several deals.

The choice of Morocco to host the 13th Summit was decided by the CCA board of directors following a short listing process.

The Moroccan ambassador in USA, Princess Lalla Joumala, said her country, as entry gate in Africa, was engaged in improving business and investment on the continent.

The Summit will be hosted for the first time in a North African country.
