Mo Ibrahim Foundation to release first report on governance in Africa in October

Abidjan, Côte d'Ivoire (PANA)   -   The Mo Ibrahim Foundation will release its first report on governance in Africa on 15 October, an official statement issued here Thursday and reaching PANA said.

The Foundation will present the implementation of the African Union's (AU) Agenda 2063 and the United Nations' Agenda 2030 on Sustainable Development Goals (SDOs).

The general thrust of this report, which is based on data from the Ibrahim Index of Governance in Africa (IIAG), will focus on examining the governance environments necessary to achieve progress towards the MDGs and Agenda 2063 and the interactions between the areas common to these two development frameworks and their main challenges.

It will also identify progress in the implementation of these Agendas and gaps between national and equally important vital statistics data.

This new report, which will be a response to Africa's new challenges, will include 90 indicators and data from 150,000 collection points across 54 African countries to assess performance.
