Mauritius encourages the population to grow their own vegetables
Port-Louis, Mauritius (PANA) - Faced with the shortage of vegetables in the local market due to the containment in force in the island since a month and a half, the Mauritian government on Thursday announced a subsidy of 15,000 Mauritian rupees, (about US$400) to any citizen who would produce his or her own vegetables in a backyard garden
