Mauritanian gendarmerie contingent leaves for Central African Republic

Nouakchott, Mauritania (PANA) - A contingent of the Mauritanian gendarmerie left Nouakchott on Sunday for Bangui, Central African Republic, where it will be deployed as part of the UN Multidimensional Mission in Central Africa (MINUSCA).

The contingent of 140 gendarmes is made up of a medical and technical team, and a specialised logistics component, equipped with all the necessary materials, with the professional skills and specialties required for this type of international mission, according to a government statement.
