Mauritania releases 10 persons arrested for disturbing the peace after June 2019 presidential elections


Nouakchott, Mauritania (PANA) - The Mauritanian justice has acquitted about ten individuals, cadres and activists of the Coalition Living Together (CVE-negro African nationalist movement) who supported the candidacy of Kane Hamidou Baba during the presidential election of June 22, 2019, In a verdict given on Wednesday evening by a court of the Kaédi (river valley), these ten persons were for allegedly "disturbing the public order, violence, assault and rebellion" following street demonstrations contesting the results of the presidential election"
