Mauritania president visits flood victims in the country

Nouakchott, Mauritania (PANA) - Mauritanian President Mohamed Cheikh El Ghazouani was on a visit to the east of the country on Thursday, including the localities of Bassiknou and Adel Bagrou, Eastern Hodh region, both located more than 1,200 km from the capital, PANA learned from official sources.

These cities were victims of heavy rains and floods which caused a loss of lives and enormous material damage.

President Ghazouani has arrived Thursday in the town of Adel Bagrou.

The rains have also caused damage in other regions in the east and south of Mauritania.
