Malian govt establishes crisis committee for the release of abducted opposition leader
Bamako, Mali (PANA) – The Malian government on Tuesday established a crisis committee for the release of the opposition leader and chief of the main Malian opposition party, Soumaila Cissé, and his companions abducted on Wednesday afternoon while on his way to Niafunké, northeastern region of Timbuktu, for an election campaign
The crisis committee, chaired by Malian Prime Minister Ousmane Issoufi Maiga, was mandated to do all it can to ensure the release of Cissé, candidate for the parliamentary elections in the administrative district of Niafunké
