Mali to launch a new airline before late March

Bamako, Mali (PANA) - Mali wants to launch a new airline before late March , the Director-General of the National Civil Aviation Agency (ANAC), Oumar Mamadou Ba announced on the sidelines of the 26th session of the Board of Directors of the organization held in Bamako.

"We are looking ahead to launch an airline in the first quarter of 2020, in national colours, for domestic, regional and even intercontinental services later," Mr. Ba said.

He also announced "the conclusion of agreements on air services with certain countries to boost traffic".

On 27 February 2019, the Malian government adopted a budget of 4 billion CFA francs for the start-up of a new airline. (US$1=CFA francs 600)
