Mali: Some 20,000 people to attend Mali festival of Selingué

Bamako, Mali (PANA) – About 20,000 people from Mali and neighbouring countries will on 27-31 March attend the international festival of Selingué, a locality about 140 km south of the Malian capital, Bamako, on the Sankarani River, a tributary of Niger River, the organisers of the event said on Thursday.

This year’s edition will feature artistes like Baba Salah, Djénéba Seck, Babani Koné, Master Souni and the Togolese group Toofan.

There will also be fashion parades presented by fashion designers like Afro-Fashian, Mini-Pédro and Farah Fashion, as well as conferences and debates on the themes, “The problems of climate change and mentality for the advent of modern and sustainable agriculture” and “National peace and reconciliation”.

The locality of Sélingué is located in the district of Baya, province of Ouassoulou, at the Guinea border.
