Mali: Bamako International Fair set for 15-25 January

Bamako, Mali (PANA) – More than 400 exhibitors from around the world are expected to take part in the 11th edition of the International Fair of Bamako (FEBAK) to be held from 15-25 January 2015 in the Malian capital, sources at the Malian Ministry of Industry and Investment Promotion told PANA on Monday.

According to the chair of the transitional committee of the Malian Chamber of Trade, Mamadou Tiéni Konaté, the new development at the fair will be the installation of tents similar to those used for modern fairs in Europe.

The fairground is over 7,000 square meters and organization of the event will benefit from the expertise of the Moroccan Centre for Export Promotion and the Office of Fairs and Expertise of Casablanca (OFEC).

FEBAK is a bi-annual gathering of economic operators from public and private sectors of Mali and the sub-region. It is also a platform for sharing experience among professionals in trade, industry, craft and services.

The 11th edition will run under the theme “Economic Revival in Mali” with a reflection on the crisis from which the country is just emerging. The main slogan for professional shows will be 'B2B' meaning 'Business to Business' and exhibition-selling.
