Libyans condemn Egyptian interference in Libya's internal affairs

Tripoli Libya (PANA) - The overwhelming majority of Libyan public opinion has vigorously condemned the various forms of continuous external interference in the internal affairs of Libya, stoking fire at the expense of the present and future of Libyans.

Many journalists and Internet users have deplored through social networks the behavior of neighboring countries of the region and of international forces directly involved in the worsening of the Libyan crisis transforming Libya into a war field by proxy marked by the incapacity of the international community, the United Nations and the Security Council to find a solution to the situation.

They deplored that despite the Berlin Conference organized by the United Nations with the participation of 12 countries and 4 regional and international organizations which intervene in Libya and which signed a 55-point document asking for the end of the provision of parties in conflict of arms, ammunition, as well as combatants and mercenaries, the same actors continue to drown Libya in weapons and war materials and to send foreign mercenaries to kill the Libyans.

These reactions, which condemn external interference in the internal affairs of Libya, come the day after the speech by Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Chokri at the Sunday meeting of Foreign Ministers from 10 countries and representatives of international organizations as part of the Munich Conference in Germany focused on following up on the conclusions of the Berlin Conference on the Libyan crisis.

The head of Egyptian diplomacy asked, on this occasion, the revision of the composition of the Libyan Presidential Council to integrate "all the components of the Libyan people and to restore the legality of the institutions of Libya".

Reacting to the speech of the Egyptian Minister, the Libyan journalist-writer, Ali Ahmed, affirmed that "it is certain that the Presidential Council failed miserably, but that concerns only the Libyans and that no State has the right to demand change of leaders in other countries. "

"Does Cairo consider Libya a province of Egypt?" He asked before adding: "what will Egypt's reaction be if a third country had asked for the modification of the Egyptian Constitution to prevent President Abdel Fattah Al-Sissi from manipulating it to stay in power after having sworn an oath, the day after his coup, to respect it? "

He considered that "the intervention of Egypt is more dangerous and more pernicious than that of the other countries which send arms and mercenaries to the two parties to the bloody conflict whose rivalry is motivated by power and money, because it tarnishes and flouts the choice of Libyans while seeking to determine the form of the Libyan state and its leaders. "

The Egyptian Minister of Foreign Affairs considered that "the successful application of the decisions of the committee monitoring the mechanisms and the implementation of the conclusions of the Berlin Conference implies the need to discuss at its next meetings the different dimensions of the situation in Libya at the head of which the dissolution of the militias, the cessation of operations sends foreign extremist terrorists to Libya to kill the Libyans and plunder their resources ".

In the same vein, the 42-year-old communications engineer Ramadan El Saadi said that "policies in Egypt still continue to be activated according to the teachings of the traditional Egyptian school strong in the manipulation of opinions that existed before the revolution of new information and communication technologies. "

"How can the Egyptian Minister of Foreign Affairs deplore the transfer of terrorists and mercenaries to kill the Libyans while remaining silent on the names of the countries involved in this operation?" Asked El Saadi.

"Mr. Chokri cannot cite these countries because his own is involved in the transfer of arms and war materials to one of the two parties to the conflict and has intelligence elements and agents involved in the fighting in course while facilitating its allies to use Egyptian soil and airspace for the transport of weapons and war materials for the benefit of their protégés at the expense of their adversaries,"  he said.

This situation, he said, "makes the fighting more fierce and the bloodshed of the Libyans more important while blocking the country's development plans".

Likewise, journalist Mohamed Rahibi wrote a tweet to ask, "Who are the foreign fighters that Mr. Chokri is referring to? Do they think of the Egyptian fighters, the Russian mercenaries of Wagner, the Janjaweed of Sudan and Sudanese militiamen, all armed by the United Arab Emirates or is he referring only to Syrian terrorist elements brought by Turkey? ".

According to observers, Egypt justified its direct and open intervention in Libya by the need to preserve its national security, but with the length of time recorded by the Libyan crisis, it is no longer neutral and has clearly chosen sides.

According to his observers, the last Egyptian interference in the internal affairs of Libya was done by the president, Abdel Fattah Al-Sissi who declared before the meeting of the African Peace and Security Council on February 8 in Addis Ababa, in Ethiopia that "the Libyan crisis is going through a critical period which makes it more complicated and has more dangerous security consequences", adding that "the links between the Libyan crisis and the situation in the Sahel zone require us to find a global approach to support the efforts of the Sahel countries ".

He said that "known foreign interference in the internal affairs of Libya has resulted in consequences that threaten not only Libya, but also neighboring countries because of the transfer of terrorist elements from Syria to Libya".

He then regretted that the consensus reached at the Berlin Conference was violated by known regional forces and therefore it is impossible to restore security stability in Libya until a way is found to find a solution peaceful.

Mr. El Saadi points out, in this regard, that the Egyptian president also avoided talking about the regional powers involved in the crisis, because he knows very well that his African peers are not fooled and know that Egypt as it is the case of Turkey to which he referred, and his (Egypt) allies, the United Arab Emirates, Sudan, France and Russia, are involved in the violation of the international arms embargo in Libya and send arms and war materials to the two parties in conflict for power and money.
