Libyan, Emirati official discuss cooperation in the media sector

Tripoli, Libya (PANA) - Libyan Minister of State for Communication and Political Affairs, Walid al-Lafi, on Thursday discussed with the Director General of Dubai Media City, Majed al-Suwaidi, opportunities for cooperation between Dubai Media City and Tripoli Media City, which was established by a decision of the Council of Ministers.

During the meeting on the sidelines of the World Media Congress 2022 activities in Abu Dhabi, Mr. al-Lafi, accompanied by the director general of Tripoli Media City, Marawan Tentoun, and the deputy chairman of the Media Content Supervisory Authority, Mounir al-Gaoud, reviewed the government's measures related to the development of the media in Libya, said a statement issued by the government.

The meeting discussed the creation of a dedicated media space, in line with international standards followed in similar fields, which will provide ample employment opportunities and spaces for creators and owners of initiatives in the fields of media and television production, technology-related entrepreneurship and content production.

For his part, the Director General of Dubai Media City made a presentation on the city's areas of work, welcoming the opportunity to provide consultations and strengthen cooperation with Tripoli Media City.
