Libya,Turkey,Britain sign MOU to finance new Tripoli airport project

Tripoli, Libya (PANA) - The Chairman of the Libyan Airports Authority, Mohamed Beit Al-Mal, Wednesday signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with the Turkish company "Terminal Yapi" and the British group "IRG International" to finance the new Tripoli airport project .

The memorandum aims to establish and define the technical and financial bases on which the parties will agree to move forward with the signing of a final contract for the investment project, according to a statement from the government of national unity.

The agreement will also include, according to the same source, the financing of infrastructure projects, the rehabilitation of the airport and its operation to ensure the development and improvement of the services provided there and to meet the standards and requirements stipulated by the International Civil Aviation Organization (ICAO).
