Libya proposes bilateral agreement with Sudan to protect common border

Tripoli, Libya (PANA) - Libyan Deputy Minister for Political Affairs at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Mohamed Khalil Issa, has called for a bilateral agreement to protect the border with Sudan.

He was speaking on Tuesday at a meeting with Sudanese Foreign Minister Maryam al-Seddik al-Mahdi in Khartoum, a statement issued by the Libyan Ministry of Foreign Affairs said.

The statement said Mrs. al-Seddik al-Mahdi welcomed the proposal of Mr. Issa, expressing the readiness of the competent authorities of Sudan to discuss and sign it as soon as possible.
