Tripoli, Libya (PANA) - A member of the Libyan House of Representatives (Parliament), Sultana al-Mesmari, took part in the meetings of the 36th. session of the Forum of Women Parliamentarians of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU) held in Luanda, the Angolan capital.
The spokesperson for the House of Representatives, Abdoullah Blihak, declared that the president of the session had been elected, in addition to approving the agenda for the meeting.
During the session, the work of the Bureau of Women Parliamentarians and its deliberations during the two previous sessions held in Manama, Bahrain, were discussed, and the candidates for the post of President of the IPU were heard.
