Libya: Four new mass graves discovered in Tarhouna, southern Tripoli

Tripoli, Libya (PANA) - Four new mass graves were discovered on Tuesday in the area of ​​"Machrou Al-Rabt" in Tarhouna (60 km south of Tripoli), according to the Government of National Accord's Tracing Authority.

"Research teams have started exhuming the bodies from the new sites, and their number will be announced once the recovery operation is completed," the Authority said in a publication on Tuesday.

On October 18, the Missing Persons Tracing Authority revealed that 12 bodies were found in five mass graves found in the area of ​​Machrou Al-Rabt in Tarhouna.

It also announced that 102 bodies were recovered in the regions of Tarhouna and south of Tripoli, after the withdrawal of Haftar's forces from the area.

According to earlier reports, most the mass graves were discovered in the areas of Tarhouna with around 74 cases, in addition to other cases recovered at the city ​​hospital, and 28 cases in the southern regions of Tripoli.
