Kenyan rugby team qualifies for 2020 Olympic Games

Abidjan, Côte d'Ivoire (PANA)  - The Kenyan seven-aside rugby team qualified for the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo, Japan, beating Uganda (29-0) on Saturday at the Rugby Africa Men's Sevens 2019 tournament in South Africa.

Zimbabwe, the defending champions, finished third in the tournament after their victory over Madagascar (15-12).

Uganda and Zimbabwe will both participate in a qualifying tournament for the HSBC World Rugby Sevens Series. They have qualified for the Olympic draft tournament to be held in June 2020.

Kenya, winner of the tournament, will participate with South Africa in the Tokyo Olympic Games.
