Kenya Airways to resume bi-weekly flights to Rome in June

Kenya, Kenya (PANA) - Kenya Airways has announced the return of flights to Italy’s capital, Rome, following a near one-year hiatus triggered by the coronavirus pandemic.

The national airline, also known as KQ, says it will resume the direct flights from 6 June 2021 with two weekly flights on Wednesdays and Sundays.

“We are delighted to resume weekly flights to Rome and will continue to maintain an expanding schedule to various destinations across our network as countries ease travel restrictions.

@Our code-share partnership with Alitalia offers our customers excellent connections in Rome to the rest of Italy, Europe, and USA and in Nairobi to the rest of Africa including Vanilla Islands,” said Julius Thairu, Chief Customer and Commercial Officer.

Kenya Airways has been working to resume passenger flights on its international network even as it continues to fly through turbulence in re-surging coronavirus infections in Europe.

The return of the Italian flights will, for instance, be on the backdrop of the return of flights to France and Netherlands next month.
