Guinean president to attend Francophone summit

Conakry, Guinea (PANA) – Guinean president Alpha Condé leaves Conakry on Friday for Kinshasa, the capital of DR Congo, to attend the 14th summit of heads of State of francophone countries, a statement from the press bureau at the presidency of the Republic says.

President Condé will be accompanied by a high-powered delegation.

During a recent visit to Paris, the Guinean president criticised the holding of the Francophone summit in Kinshasa, incurring the anger of the Congolese authorities and the media close to DR Congo president Joseph Kabila.
