Gor sink Leopards in titanic Kenyan league clash

Nairobi, Kenya (PANA) - Striker Dan Sserunkuma fired home the all-important goal that saw Gor Mahia edge out perennial rival AFC Leopards in a fast-paced and well-attended Tusker Premier League game at the Nyayo National Stadium in Nairobi on Sunday.

Sserenkuma, a Ugandan, moved fast to fire into an empty net from a counter-attack, capitalising on a goalmouth scramble

He shot past the advancing custodian Patrick Matasi, complicating matters for Leopards Belgian coach who has led the team in six matches without a win.

Earlier, Leopards appeared the better side, forcing more corners than their opponents, and being better in ball anticipation to keep Gor custodian Fredrick Onyango on his toes.

The highly-charged match was stopped for seven minutes in the 87th minute, after fans scuffled in the stands.

But police moved in quickly to restore order.
