Gambia defeat Congo 1-0 in international football friendly

Banjul, Gambia (PANA) - Gambia's senior national football team, the Scorpions, defeated Red Devils of Congo Brazzaville 1-0 on Friday in Algarve, Portugal, in a football friendly match.

According to the official website of the Gambia Football Federation, the only goal of the match was scored by striker Assan Ceesay.

Gambia will play Guinea in their second friendly on Tuesday to wrap up their 10-day training as part of preparations for the Africa Cup of Nations Qualifiers.
