EgyptAir resumes flights to Abidjan

Cairo, Egypt (PANA) - The Egyptian national carrier, EgyptAir, will resume flights to Abidjan, the economic capital of Côte d'Ivoire, from 20 June, the company has announced.

This decision is part of the company's plan, under the aegis of the Egyptian Ministry of Civil Aviation, to strengthen EgyptAir's presence in Africa, the company's Board Chairman, Ahmed Adel, was quoted as saying in a statement on Wednesday.

It said the company is working to develop its network, particularly in Africa, through flying to other destinations on the continent to strengthen its competitiveness.

According to the statement, the company will serve the Ivorian economic capital by two weekly flights (Tuesdays and Thursdays) via Accra, Ghana.
